The first stop is Rome, which contains so many enchantments. The Sistine Chapel with its beautiful painted ceilings, The Vatican home to the beloved Pope, and The Colosseum with its grand structure beckons to you. Also home to the Renaissance era, Rome has seen its share in war and suffering throughout its growing pains in centuries past, including Nazi influence and World Wars I and II. St Peter Square in Vatican City, the Arch of Constantine, and the Pantheon are also noteworthy.

Next on the agenda is the impressive town of Florence, which houses the largest Franciscan church in the whole country. It is special due to it being home to the tombs of Dante and Michelangelo Buonarotti. Michelangelo original art is found here, and also the Galleria dell Academia, which showcases many of the most well known sculptures and paintings, including the impressive David sculpture. Make time to visit the Galleria degli Uffizi before you head to Naples, which portrays hundreds of Renaissance art and tapestries.

On the coast just south of Rome we come to Naples, weaved decoratively with history and intrigue. The National Archaeological Museum features Roman and Greek antiquities, finds of Pompeii, mosaics, gems, fine metals and more.

Those that have a passion for gardening will make time to visit The Orto Botanico, founded in 1545, and is the oldest botanical garden found in the world. Via San Biagio is the heart of shopping in Naples, with quaint shops and an endless selection of choices.

One hundred seventeen bodies of land dotted with 150 canals and 400 bridges, come together to form the beautiful town of Venice. Reserve a special boat called a vaporetti, and float down the Grand Canal to the center of the city, where you will find Saint Mark Square and Basilica. Let the live music fill your ears and senses at Rialto Bridge, as you linger through the Market to enjoy the local seafood delicacies.
